Perfect prayers do not exist!
Prayer is the natural extension of living with the Holy Spirit in the body, soul, and mind of each individual. Therefore the question becomes the WHAT of the request. Again the simple becomes the best.
But, what do I pray for? I want to help, and my words seems to reach no higher than the top of my head. God said that the Spirit would help with prayers because the Spirit knows all just like the Holy Father knows all.
Sometimes a person knows the specifics of a given situation and knows exactly what to say and how to request the out pouring of God's power. All too often, however, the needs are hidden, and the motives of the persons in question blur the desire for the perfect will of God to be fulfilled. Each petition to the Most High God should include requests for wisdom, knowledge, peace, comfort, and joy. The best request is, "Thy will be done" because this statement reminds each person that God is in control and demonstrates total trust in God.
Pray no matter what happens, keeping the lines of communication open so that God can guide and direct each person through each event - privately and specifically. Pray with determination and focus taking time to savor the conversation, listening with heart, mind, and soul.
Pray without ceasing. Pray with Hope and Joy knowing that God will listen to His children and delights in answering prayer in a surprising manner.
Pray, then wait for the answer and wait patiently.
