Dependence and Trust

Prayer is the life line each person has and can hang onto in times of trouble and joy.  Prayer produces knowledge of how weak humans truly are, but prayer also demonstrates the mighty power of God who is the one true light in a fallen evil world.  Prayer shines light on sin and cauterizes the wounds of fear and doubt.  It also produces a bright illumination which points to the path that God has chosen for a person's life.

When a person prays, the heart becomes soft like plowed ground after warming spring rains allowing the Master Farmer to plant seeds of mercy, grace, and hope.  Continued prayer sprouts the seeds and grows them into strong deep rooted plants which produce abundant crops to be shared with people everywhere.

Prayer demonstrates total dependence and trust in the Triune God, but prayer requires time and effort.  As the old song says:
"Take time to be holy.  Speak oft with thy Lord, forgetting in nothing His mercy to seek."

Where have you been?

Have you asked that question of friends, family, classmates, the doctor, the minister, or maybe a complete stranger? BUT have you bothered to ask "Where have you been?" of your relationship with the Most High Triune Lord God?  The Creator of the Universe wants to have a living relationship with you in a one to one time of communication.  In the old song, we are reminded that God is waiting for us to actually speak to him as a person speaks to other humans.  June Deniece William s and Miles C. Austin write:                                     I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses,                                     and the voice I hear falling on my ear,                                 ...
