When prayer becomes difficult

When prayer becomes difficult focus on the awesomeness of God who created the universe from the smallest atomic particle to the largest galaxy.  Each piece of creation depends on the balance of every other piece no matter how seemingly unimportant.  Each prayer of a child of God lends its power to the next thought, idea, reaction to produce praise, honor, and glory to God

By remembering to give God the glory and thanks for His guidance, focused prayer becomes possible and will produce unexpected surprises, like the first blooms after a dreary winter.  By training the mind to focus on each step, the prayer warrior moves from a fumbling recruit to a well trained soldier.  Then prayers become the anchor of the soul in the middle of trouble.  By allowing the soul time to listen during difficult times, prayer becomes the source of hope and peace.

The line "It is well with my soul"  reminds the child of God to listen.  Listening is half of the conversation allowing God to comfort and strengthen His child through His assurance that He is in total control, and nothing is unknown to Him.

Where have you been?

Have you asked that question of friends, family, classmates, the doctor, the minister, or maybe a complete stranger? BUT have you bothered to ask "Where have you been?" of your relationship with the Most High Triune Lord God?  The Creator of the Universe wants to have a living relationship with you in a one to one time of communication.  In the old song, we are reminded that God is waiting for us to actually speak to him as a person speaks to other humans.  June Deniece William s and Miles C. Austin write:                                     I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses,                                     and the voice I hear falling on my ear,                                 ...
