Who is my neighbor?

When questioned by the teachers of the Law, the Lord Jesus said that the most important commandment is to Love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, and soul.  The second most important commandment is to Love your neighbor as yourself.

The question then becomes, "Who is my neighbor?"

Is he the person who lives next to me?
The child who sits in the corner all alone?
The co-worker who never talks to anyone?
The silly teenager who makes foolish choices and hurts others?
The spouse who is well known but unknown at the same time?
The people who share like values?
The people who hate you and wish to do you harm?
The people who encourage you?
The people who discourage you and call you names?

At this point, you should see that your neighbor is anyone other than yourself. So how do you share God's love with that person?

Give them a smile, a helping hand,
Ask about their family, favorite entertainment, health, day,
See what you can do for them rather than what they can do for you.

ALLOW GOD TO SHOW YOU WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR OTHERS, AND DO IT!

God reigns (rules, leads, guides, directs), reins (controls, hold back impulses that lead to self destruction), rains (pours His healing love into the garden of our soul and moisture on to the dry and thirsty land).  Pray for the REIGN, REIN, RAIN of God over the United States of America and the lost and hurting World.

Time is short.  Plant the seeds of God's Love and Grace while you can.

Go boldly into the presence of the Most High God

As a child of God, I have the right and privilege to come into the presence of the Holy Pure God because of the blood sacrifice of Jesus, 2000 years ago.  As His child, I can be assured that He will listen to me and answer my questions, statements, and pleas for help. Today, March 16, 2020 President Trump declared that the United States is in a war with a world wide enemy - Corvid 19 or the Corona Virus.  This fast moving killer of the elderly and weak invaded the world and has spread like a meteor strike.  Many people have felt the effects of this virus personally for them I raise my pleas that God will give them comfort, healing, and peace.  For those indirectly affected, I ask that God will pour His peace of spirit and knowledge into their hearts and minds.  I am asking all of my brothers and sisters in the LORD JESUS CHRIST to pray continually and diligently that God will move swiftly to eradicate this horrible threat to humanity.  I pray that God g...

Lessons in Life

Each day the Lord opens His heart to His children and demonstrates the way to make wise decisions and choices. Yet all too often people close their eyes and ears to what is really happening around them.  They do no see the needs of people - physical, mental, spiritual.  People need to look for ways to open their minds to the guidance of God.   Watch for chances to serve others and to celebrate their strengths and hopes. Wait for God to open doors or windows for you to move through. Pray daily, in humility and desire to follow Jesus more closely. Please Lord Jesus pour your love through me on to others - strangers, friends, family.  Guide my thoughts so that I continually seek to know you in a real loving relationship.  Give me the strength of spirit to do what you want done.  Let me hide myself in you - my Rock and my Salvation.  Amen WATCH WAIT PRAY

Growing in God's garden

God has planted a beautiful garden that grows and produces fruit.  As he tends his garden, He often prunes and removes dead growth.  During this time, the pain of the process cause His children to accuse Him of rejecting them.  God grows an organized well structured garden and desires the best for each person. Now during this time of pandemic and hate, more than ever before the Children of God must deepen their roots and offer shelter to those in need.  The question becomes how. God offers patterns for Spiritual Growth -  1. Assurance of Salvation - Do you know in your heart that you are saved?  Read 1 John 5:13 2. Understanding you are forgiven - The one willing sacrifice of Jesus who gave His life for you is all you need.  Read Ephesians 1:7 3.  Desire to study the Word of God - read the Life manual of God daily.  1 Peter 2;2 4. Pray CONSTANTLY - communicate with God always about all things  Philippians 4:6 5. Be a witness for Jesus by...
