Prayer of Confession

Lord,
It is hard to be humble.  We live in a world that encourages self-pride and self-glorification.  You call us to consider others before considering ourselves, yet the cry of this generation is so often, "me first."  We look for ways to be served, rather than seeking ways we can be servants.  Forgive us, Lord, and make our hearts to be conformed to yours.  Unite us with Christ, who came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.  It is the HOLY Name of Jesus that we humbly pray. 
Amen

This is my Father's World And I rest me in the thought that though the wrong seems oft so strong GOD IS THE RULER YET. Depend on the Most High Creator Lord God who loves you more than human thought, words, or actions can express.  Let His love flood through your life and surround you.   Daily give your life to the control and guidance of God.
