Meditate on the Word of God

Psalm 91

Upon reflection on the soldiers' prayer, I realize that Psalm 91 is for all of the "soldiers" in God's army.

He promises to protect us, lead us, and surround us with His merciful grace, power, and love.

While thinking about these words I used the following outline:

I Sin to confess - for me it is my failure to trust on God and follow His guidance.

II Promise to claim - God will allow us to be surrounded by danger and never be harmed IF we will trust him at his word.

III Example to follow - Daniel who trusted God even when he was thrown into the lions' den.

IV Command to obey - Trust in God always

V Knowledge to gain - God surrounds His children and shelters them from all danger.  He is our refuge, sanctuary, strength, hope, guide, our HEAVENLY FATHER who loves us beyond measure just as we are.

Go boldly into the presence of the Most High God

As a child of God, I have the right and privilege to come into the presence of the Holy Pure God because of the blood sacrifice of Jesus, 2000 years ago.  As His child, I can be assured that He will listen to me and answer my questions, statements, and pleas for help. Where have you been?

Have you asked that question of friends, family, classmates, the doctor, the minister, or maybe a complete stranger? BUT have you bothered to ask "Where have you been?" of your relationship with the Most High Triune Lord God?  The Creator of the Universe wants to have a living relationship with you in a one to one time of communication.  In the old song, we are reminded that God is waiting for us to actually speak to him as a person speaks to other humans.  June Deniece William s and Miles C. Austin write:                                     I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses,                                     and the voice I hear falling on my ear,                                 ...
