Trust in the Lord

 As we continue to wait, we need to turn to God for His strength and protection.  We need to trust in Him because He is greater than any human who thinks he know what is best.  In Psalm God tells us clearly to trust in Him.  

"I was in trouble, so I called to the Lord.

The Lord answered me and set me free.

I will not be afraid, because the Lord is with me.

People can't do anything to me,

so I will see my enemies defeated.

It is better to trust the Lord

than to trust people.

It is better to trust the Lord

than to trust princes." (Psalm 118:5-9)

No matter what is happening in the world, God knows the choices we make and wants us to depend on Him for all things.  Place your hopes, dreams, problems, fears in His control daily and ask that He show you the path you are to follow.  He will place you where you will best serve Him.  All you need to do is keep your eyes, ears, heart, soul open to His guidance following Him always.  Daily OBEY the promptings of the Holy Spirit no matter how seemingly small.

Please Lord Jesus, Most High God, who was, is and will be, allow us to approach your Holy presence knowing that even though we are a sinful creature who makes destructive choices YOU in your infinite mercy and grace love us.  Please return to the earth to rule over us and guide us into a personal real living relationship with You so that we reflect Your Heavenly throne in our daily lives.  Please provide for our needs - physical, mental, spiritual - personally and as a community of believers that stretches across the miles and millennia.  Please Lord convict our spirits so that we will turn to you pleading for your forgiveness and asking, begging that you pour your mighty protection over us.  Teach us to love our fellow humans - family, friends, neighbors, community, enemies - and to forgive them as you have so gloriously forgiven us.  Save us from all evil thoughts and behaviors and make us into witnesses of your merciful grace and loving kindness.  Thank you for your many mighty and wonderful blessings that fill our daily lives.  You Most High Lord God are the mighty King of the universe full of glory -honor - majesty.  Praise your Holy Name now and forever more.

Where have you been?

 Have you asked that question of friends, family, classmates, the doctor, the minister, or maybe a complete stranger?
