Give Thanks

As 2020, the year that threatened to destroy all hope and joy, draws to a reluctant end, the people of God need to give thanks to the Lord for His mighty protection, His awesome grace, His eternal love, and His wonderful salvation.  Even though the death toll from Covid 19 continues to rise world wide, the mighty power of God continues to shine through the actions of people trying to support and encourage others.  For such actions as drive through birthday celebrations, the building of playgrounds for children who cannot go to local parks, the service of all health care workers, the labors of the police to protect local populations from harm, the rescue work of firemen, and the daily love demonstrated by families who learned to love one another again.

Give thanks with a grateful heart

Give thanks to the Holy One

Give thanks because He has given Jesus Christ, His Son

And now let the weak say, "I am strong."

Let the poor say, "I am rich because of what God has done for us."

GIVE THANKS!  (Don Moen)

Let the light of God so shine through your life that man can see His power to save and to protect His children.  Live your life so that you bring honor and glory to the Most High Triune God.

GIVE THANKS!

Those who hope (trust, depend on, believe) in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,  they will will walk and not be faint. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your path straight.(Proverbs 3:5-6) Blessed be the name of the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord always.

Where have you been?

Have you asked that question of friends, family, classmates, the doctor, the minister, or maybe a complete stranger? BUT have you bothered to ask "Where have you been?" of your relationship with the Most High Triune Lord God?  The Creator of the Universe wants to have a living relationship with you in a one to one time of communication.  In the old song, we are reminded that God is waiting for us to actually speak to him as a person speaks to other humans.  June Deniece William s and Miles C. Austin write:                                     I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses,                                     and the voice I hear falling on my ear,                                 ...
