Daily Prayer

It is so easy to become lost in the demands of daily living that prayer becomes an added chore not a time to talk to the Father who knows and understands us.  One way to keep the focus of your prayer time is to read Psalm 37 and 73 to refocus your heart and mind on exactly who God is and why He wants a living relationship with His creation - especially humans.

Step One - humble yourself - realize the awesome terrible power of God and that you are nothing in comparison to Him and His infinite being.

Step Two - pray, talk honestly with God, tell him about your dreams, goals, plans, desires, hurts, fears - speak like you would to a friend who will not betray you or demean you.

Step Three - seek the guidance of God and look for His direction daily.

Step Four - turn from the lures of the world and its so called success.  Turn to God, read the Word like you would read letters from your parents, best friends, family, spouse.

THEN God will give you rest and peace of spirit.

Daily surrender control of your life to God and DEPEND on Him for all things knowing that His gracious love endures forever - even when you goof up and do something stupid.  Just turn to God and ask for His forgiveness and merciful grace will fill your hurting soul.

Go boldly into the presence of the Most High God

As a child of God, I have the right and privilege to come into the presence of the Holy Pure God because of the blood sacrifice of Jesus, 2000 years ago.  As His child, I can be assured that He will listen to me and answer my questions, statements, and pleas for help. Today, March 16, 2020 President Trump declared that the United States is in a war with a world wide enemy - Corvid 19 or the Corona Virus.  This fast moving killer of the elderly and weak invaded the world and has spread like a meteor strike.  Many people have felt the effects of this virus personally for them I raise my pleas that God will give them comfort, healing, and peace.  For those indirectly affected, I ask that God will pour His peace of spirit and knowledge into their hearts and minds.  I am asking all of my brothers and sisters in the LORD JESUS CHRIST to pray continually and diligently that God will move swiftly to eradicate this horrible threat to humanity.  I pray that God g...

Lessons in Life

Each day the Lord opens His heart to His children and demonstrates the way to make wise decisions and choices. Yet all too often people close their eyes and ears to what is really happening around them.  They do no see the needs of people - physical, mental, spiritual.  People need to look for ways to open their minds to the guidance of God.   Watch for chances to serve others and to celebrate their strengths and hopes. Wait for God to open doors or windows for you to move through. Pray daily, in humility and desire to follow Jesus more closely. Please Lord Jesus pour your love through me on to others - strangers, friends, family.  Guide my thoughts so that I continually seek to know you in a real loving relationship.  Give me the strength of spirit to do what you want done.  Let me hide myself in you - my Rock and my Salvation.  Amen WATCH WAIT PRAY

Growing in God's garden

God has planted a beautiful garden that grows and produces fruit.  As he tends his garden, He often prunes and removes dead growth.  During this time, the pain of the process cause His children to accuse Him of rejecting them.  God grows an organized well structured garden and desires the best for each person. Now during this time of pandemic and hate, more than ever before the Children of God must deepen their roots and offer shelter to those in need.  The question becomes how. God offers patterns for Spiritual Growth -  1. Assurance of Salvation - Do you know in your heart that you are saved?  Read 1 John 5:13 2. Understanding you are forgiven - The one willing sacrifice of Jesus who gave His life for you is all you need.  Read Ephesians 1:7 3.  Desire to study the Word of God - read the Life manual of God daily.  1 Peter 2;2 4. Pray CONSTANTLY - communicate with God always about all things  Philippians 4:6 5. Be a witness for Jesus by...
