God's Word

In order to fully (as far as humanly possible) understand who God is and what He wants from His creation, one must study the Bible - read, memorize, internalize, apply, share the WORD.  Rather than seeking to please man (humans), a person should study to show him/herself approved by the Holy Triune God.  By diligent study and seeking of God (Jeremiah 29:12-13), each individual grows in living relationship with God.

The focus of the study of the Word of God should be "What does the Bible say"  in response to any question about how to live one's life or to provide guidance to another person.  This focus leads to the demand that one surrenders control of one's life to God and to turn away from sin.  "Biblical teaching on faith joins credence, commitment, and communion: it exhibits Christian Believing as not only knowing facts about Christ, but also coming to Him  in personal trust to worship, love, and serve Him."(J.I. Packer)  Translated into simpler terms, following the Bible is done by heart, mind and soul in total trust of who God is and what He has accomplished in restoring mankind to a relationship with Him.  This means that the sinner must turn away from sin and trust God to reformat the thought processes and the emotional responses to any given event.

So study the WORD of God (all 66 books of the Bible) asking God to lead you into a deeper relationship with Him.

Daily ask:

What do the WORD really say and  want me to understand?

How would Jesus respond to _______________(situation, person, idea)

How do I apply the knowledge I am gaining?

How did Jesus respond to the people around Him and share saving grace?

How do I share Jesus with people I meet, with my friends, my family, with my coworkers?

What is saving faith?

Daily read the word of God asking for His guidance and reassurance.  TRUST [Depend on] God in all things with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  Daily (hourly if needed) surrender control of your life asking God what He wants you to do, say, feel, see.

Go boldly into the presence of the Most High God

As a child of God, I have the right and privilege to come into the presence of the Holy Pure God because of the blood sacrifice of Jesus, 2000 years ago.  As His child, I can be assured that He will listen to me and answer my questions, statements, and pleas for help. Today, March 16, 2020 President Trump declared that the United States is in a war with a world wide enemy - Corvid 19 or the Corona Virus.  This fast moving killer of the elderly and weak invaded the world and has spread like a meteor strike.  Many people have felt the effects of this virus personally for them I raise my pleas that God will give them comfort, healing, and peace.  For those indirectly affected, I ask that God will pour His peace of spirit and knowledge into their hearts and minds.  I am asking all of my brothers and sisters in the LORD JESUS CHRIST to pray continually and diligently that God will move swiftly to eradicate this horrible threat to humanity.  I pray that God g...

Where have you been?

Have you asked that question of friends, family, classmates, the doctor, the minister, or maybe a complete stranger? BUT have you bothered to ask "Where have you been?" of your relationship with the Most High Triune Lord God?  The Creator of the Universe wants to have a living relationship with you in a one to one time of communication.  In the old song, we are reminded that God is waiting for us to actually speak to him as a person speaks to other humans.  June Deniece William s and Miles C. Austin write:                                     I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses,                                     and the voice I hear falling on my ear,                                 ...
