New Years Eve

As we look forward to the new year, REMEMBER to PRAISE THE LORD always for all things - good or bad. SEE the awesome presence of God FEEL His mighty merciful love and grace TRUST in His unshakable promises which have been filled, are being filled, will be filled. In all things God is in control.

Hands

The Praying Hands

TRUST in the Lord (give all control to God daily) with all your own heart (your thoughts, actions, feelings) and do not depend on your own understanding (your ability to think and take action). Remember (seek) the Lord in ALL that you do and he will give you success. (in all aspects of your life - mental, physical, emotional) Depend on the Lord for everything, and he will fill your life with His presence.

Reading the Word

When I first decided to follow Jesus, I began a journey that seemed shrouded in a dense mist of opinions of my friends, the teachers, preachers, and strangers.  These opinions confused me and caused me to fail more often than not.  Yet through the entire precarious crawling into the full light of God, I began to see that when I devoted time each day to the Word I had a clearer path.  The more I read in the Word, the more I hungered to find out about Jesus.  I have read secular books about the life and times of Christ, books about others journey into the grace of God, and books about the meaning of the Bible; BUT the book that provided the most leadership and guidance continues to be the 66 books of the BIBLE - in this library I find prediction of the future, assurance for the present, and an explanation of the past.  I find who I am and who God wants me to be. By reading the Word of God and studying how God works, I have found safety and security in a world fu...

An aspect of a relationship with God

Another factor in any relationship rests in the idea of communication.  Yet all too often people shout demands at God but refuse to listen for any type of answer.  They behave like a spoiled toddler who is accustomed to having his parents at his complete beck and call.  Many people believe that God "owes" them because they "accepted Jesus into their lives."  Yet what does this acceptance really mean? The acceptance of Jesus means that each person realizes that he is a sinner - a black hearted selfish creature who thinks that the world owes him anything that he wants and should bow down to his demands.  The acceptance of Jesus means that each person must daily (hour by hour) give up control of their lives - thoughts, actions, conversations, behaviors and surrender EVERYTHING  to Jesus who gave up more than a mere human can imagine, His personal intertwined communication and indwelling with God the Father.  Jesus, God in human form, lived the perfect li...

Building a Relationship with the Most High God

One of the key factors in any relationship is TRUST - a trust that must be earned.  By carefully reading all of the Word of  God, each person receives a glimpse of the of the pure Truth of God.     Each of the 66 books of Gods Written Word resounds with the truth leading the reader into a trusting relationship with the Most Holy Triune God.  From the beginning God trusted His creation with His plan.  Although humans constantly ignore this perfect plan for the relationship with God, He continues to reach out toward them proving what he promises in His Word is true and to be completely trusted.  God stands patiently waiting for His children to return to Him with repentance (total sorrow for their misdeeds) and the renewal (regeneration) of Hope.  As we seek to grow in Jesus for Him to grow inside of us, we become more like Him daily.  Work on your personal relationship with God by studying His Word, listening for His still voice, pr...

DECEMBER 25, 2019

Around the world - MERRY CHRISTMAS  Peace on Earth Good Will to all mankind From the Most High Triune God  who created Heaven and Earth!

WWJD

Less Me Less Pride Less Anger Less Drama Less Gossip Less Bitterness Less Complaining Less Selfishness MORE JESUS - JESUS - JESUS!   Show your love for one another by your actions of support and words of kindness.

Pay attention

By paying attention to the needs and wants of others, you are honoring God; but what do you do when you do not give attention to others. YOU apologize and try to do better.  It takes work to build a relationship with people and with God. This work needs constant effort and close thoughtful awareness of others.  Show the love of God to those who are closest to you by doing the little things that needed to be done.  PAY ATTENTION to the needs and wants of others always. Thus you honor God.

ADVENT

This is the Fourth Sunday of Advent - the Sunday of JOY. May our heavenly Father fill you with His peace of spirit, hope in His promises, love beyond measure, and joy in a relationship with Him, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I am to do WHAT???

As I seek to do God's will, I find that I am walking down new paths - paths that I never once considered.  Each step closer to God brings into sharper focus my choices and what I really want. My choices started this journey which has lasted 50 (yes, fifty) years.  I have read may books about Jesus, about His life on earth, about how people behave, about the past, and about the possibilities of the future.  Still my path seems to follow a stream that flows from the mouth of God and is written in the Bible - God's 66 love letters to His children.  My journey is a challenge and a joy, a time of strength and weakness, and a time of searching and revelation.  So enjoy the path that God has placed you on and know that GOD IS IN CONTROL, always.

Honor Your Father and Mother

Of the Ten Commandments only this one comes with a promise of long life. So how do you honor your parents? Spend time with them without judging their actions or criticizing what has happened in the past.  Let the past go. Just because they are your parents and will love you forever does not mean that you can ignore them or treat them any way you please.  Your actions and words matter. Their hearts hurt to understand why you seem so angry with them. It does not matter how old you are or how old they are, treasure your parents.  You'll never replace them. Honor your Father and Mother.  This is what God told his people in the days of Moses and continues to tell them in 2019.

Stand for the Truth of God

Rather than think you are alone in your quest to serve God and stand for His Truth REMEMBER Eight people accepted God's invitation to get on the Ark with Noah Four people escaped the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah One prophet stood up against the priests of Baal Three Hebrews endured the Furnace in Babylon David defeated Goliath by himself One apostle stood at the foot of the Cross when Jesus was crucified for the sins of the world. Christians may stand alone but they stand in good company who followed the directions of God. When you stand in the gap for God, you stand in the middle of a mighty angelic army commanded by Michael, the Leader of the Army of God. STAND UP FOR JESUS

Only 8 days

In 8 days Christians around the world will celebrate the most marvelous birth in history. The Lord Jesus, the only begotten son of God, was born two thousand years ago and brought the light of God into the dark world.  He came to save humans for the terrible consequences of sin - eternal separation from the Most High Triune God.  He came to show mankind how to live a life that is pleasing to God and in a rich relationship with the Lord of the Universe.  Yet for the most part people ignore this most gracious gift from God who yearns for His people to return to Him.  Ponder the promise of God and seek to show Him to the people around you - share His love and grace always. You still have time - make the choice to follow the Lord Jesus, our gracious master and holy savior.

Trust in the Lord

Throughout the history of the world, God continues to reach out to His people.  Starting with Abraham of Ur to modern peoples, God seeks those who will listen to His Word.  His Word, which is found in the 66 books of the Bible, speaks of a Holy God who demands that His people listen to Him and apply His directions in their daily lives.  Since God is Holy and Pure, He cannot tolerate evil in any form - from the tiniest lie to the complete rejection of the Reign of God in human life; but he has developed a plan which will remove sin from a person's life and revitalize a relationship between man and the Holy Creator of the Universe.  This plan is simple - all a person needs to do is acknowledge his failure to live a pure life in communion with God and accept the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus (who did live a Holy Pure Life as a complete human) as payment for the great debt of sin.  Once this hurdle is overcome, a person then learns to live in relationship with God....

Third Sunday of Advent

The Third Sunday of Advent celebrates the mighty Love that God pours on his children.  (John 3:16-17)  This love spills into our daily lives and overflows onto the people around us.  By allowing God to love people though us His love coats us with His comfort and warmth.  Put your trust, faith, and hope in the promises of the Eternal God, the Father who was, is, and will be THE GREAT I AM . As you follow the Holy Spirit, think about what the Spirit wants you to do and find ways to accomplish the task.  Daily give your life to Jesus, asking for his guidance so that you see as He sees . living in Harmony with the Holy Triune God.

Remember

He who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved. The Lord God Almighty is the ONE I can truly depend on for everything. PSALM 91: 14-16 JOHN 3: 16-17 God so loved the world that He gave His only son that any one who believes in Him will have everlasting life. He did not send His son to condemn it, but to save it through His sacrifice.

Wait patiently

Watch   in wonder as the Most High articulates into  the inner reaches of the human soul things that shout the totality of the Mighty One in never ending Glorification of His Holy Name. SING praises FULFILL the vows to be faithful TACKLE the seemingly impossible                  know that God is always in control. Pause to see the Holy One Tend the garden of the heart Lean on the power of the ALMIGHTY TRIUNE GOD.

Advent Peace

The second week of Advent celebrates the peace that God promises to His children. Peace is the light of God shining in darkness and represents the quiet rest of the spirit in the comfort of God.  This is a peace that "passes all understanding" and should be nurtured in the heart, mind, and soul of the believer.

Waiting continues

As we continue to wit for the return of the Lord Jesus, we try to live so that people see Him through our speech and actions. Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship with the Most High Creator of the Universe.  This relationship begins with a gift - a gift of unadulterated love and mercy - a gift that does not demand repayment in any form - an unconditional perfect holy gift.  As with all relationships a choice must be made - the choice to trust and accept the Gift of Salvation through Jesus the Messiah or to reject God and turn to sin.  Each person in every generation makes this choice. "CHOOSE WISELY!"

I AM

I am What I am I am a believer In Jesus Christ Who was born to save A wretch like me And I am keeping CHRIST In Christmas for He is the Reason For the SEASON. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Love

Human beings are loved UNCONDITIONALLY by the One who created the entire universe from the smallest atomic particle to the largest galaxy cluster.  How can you refuse to build a personal relationship with HIM?????

Advent Hope

Advent the four weeks before December 25 represents the time of waiting and prayerful anticipation of the Birth of the Savior of the World.  Each week in advent the children of God consider the gikfts that God has prepared for them. Week one fills the spirit of Hope in the promise of eternal life with the Creator of the Universe in a one on one relationship.  Hope is the product of faith in an anticipated promise - which fills the spirit and warms the soul

SFT

SEE the glorious creation of God the Father SEEK His guidance and hide from evil in the shelter of His power SEARCH for the Will of God in His Word - the scriptures, the Bible FEEL the wondrous presence of God in your soul and daily life FIND Him in everyone you meet FORGIVE those who have hurt you TRUST in the Lord Jesus always TAKE everything to Him in prayers - the bad, the ordinary, the good, the wonderful TURN back to your first love - the passion to follow the promises of God

What we need

According to the scientific studies over the past three hundred years, scientists decided that for the human race to survive people need the following four basic elements. 1.Water 2.Air 3.Food 4.Light. Yet most humans do not realize exactly what the Bible explains to us about JESUS- According to scripture Jesus said the following: 1. I am the Living Water 2. I am the Breath of Life 3. I am the Bread of Life 4. I am the Light of the World Not only do we need these four basic elements to survive, we need them to thrive THEREFORE WE NEED JESUS.

The Powerful Lord Will

As we watch and pray, we must remember that the Lord God is in control of the past, present, and future.  God set the universe into motion and has awesome plans for His creation - all creatures great and small.  In order to discover His plan, His children need to seek His will daily. How to find His will becomes the challenge - Look in Romans 12: 9-21. Love God truly Grasp what is good Love (support/give) your family Honor others above yourself Work hard Serve God with a joyful heart Be patient PRAY constantly Share with those who need help Encourage others and share their happiness and sadness Live in peace with your neighbors Make friends with the ordinary people Do not seek to avenge yourself for the evil others do Demonstrate God's love daily to all you meet Defeat evil by doing good. It is easy to say do these things, but the application of God's will becomes a daily or hourly challenge. Seek to do God's will; and when failure comes, ask for fo...

Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart

Thank you Lord for the beauty of the Earth. All creatures sing praises to your name. Resting in the Hands of God, my soul fills with joy.  This joy causes my heart to sing songs of thanks.  Thank you Lord for my wonderful family who demonstrate Your grace and mercy.  Thank you Most High Creator for the wonders of your gifts - life, health, family, friends. Reaching into the depths of the morning sky bare branches prepare a promise - During this time of rest the soul waits gathering strength deepening roots preparing to produce honor glory to the name of the God of the Universe. In prayer the child of God opens the doors to the beauty of the Word  and prepares the garden of the soul for the plants that fill the lives of others.  Plants of thanksgiving, comfort, hope, joy. Daily give thanks for everything Remember: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
