Give Thanks

As 2020, the year that threatened to destroy all hope and joy, draws to a reluctant end, the people of God need to give thanks to the Lord for His mighty protection, His awesome grace, His eternal love, and His wonderful salvation.  Even though the death toll from Covid 19 continues to rise world wide, the mighty power of God continues to shine through the actions of people trying to support and encourage others.  For such actions as drive through birthday celebrations, the building of playgrounds for children who cannot go to local parks, the service of all health care workers, the labors of the police to protect local populations from harm, the rescue work of firemen, and the daily love demonstrated by families who learned to love one another again.   Give thanks with a grateful heart Give thanks to the Holy One Give thanks because He has given Jesus Christ, His Son And now let the weak say, "I am strong." Let the poor say, "I am rich because of what God has ...

Listen

No matter where you are LISTEN to the voice of God.  You can hear Him in the chirping of birds, in the crackle of a dry grass, in the whisper of a child singing, in the eyes of a beloved parent.  No matter where  you are the voice of God call to you.  LISTEN. Listen with your heart mind and soul.  Listen with your ears in the ultra quiet of midnight Listen with your brain in the silence before dawn Listen with your life blood in the utter depths of your being. Listen to the voice of God Listen for His guidance. WAIT WATCH  PRAY Daily wait on the Lord, watch for His return, pray for His guidance.  LISTEN to His WORD, HIS BELOVED SON JESUS CHRIST, THE LORD OF THE UNIVERSE.

Christmas fellowship

Two thousand years ago the Lord Jesus Christ, master of the universe, fixed (glued in place) the RELATIONSHIP between God and His creation (wayward, sinful mankind).  This relationship depends totally on God and cannot be changed once a person acknowledges personal sin and the need for a blood sacrifice to repair that Holy relationship.  Now that the relationship is repaired, FELLOWSHIP can become real.  However for the fellowship with God to grow, a person must make the effort to  READ THE BIBLE DAILY MEDITATE ON THE WORD OF GOD TALK TO LIKE MINDED PEOPLE OBEY THE DIRECTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT PRAY, PRAY, PRAY PRAISE GOD FOREVER, ALWAYS, EVERYDAY IN EVERY THING (good, bad, indifferent) Now is the time for all good Christians to open their hearts and minds to the Lord God and TRUST in His promises, grace, mercy, love. Allow God to grow the flowers in the garden of your soul.

Christmas 2020

During this quiet day of reflection, I realized the importance of the Gift of God to all mankind.  On the celebration of the birth of Christ Jesus, we remember why we need a Savior that fulfilled the requirements of the Law completely - body, mind, spirit.  Jesus did all these things and more.  He embodies the living relationship that God wishes to have with His creation.  Now we have the opportunity to respond honestly and with a loving heart to our Heavenly Father. MERRY CHRISTMAS Happy Birthday, Jesus.

Christmas Eve 2020

Now more than ever before, all God's Children (the faithful believers in the Lord Jesus Christ) need to  REPENT  of all sin (anger, hate, selfishness, refusal to encourage others, lack of faith, failure to obey) RETURN to our FIRST love of Jesus - when we first realized the exorbitant price Jesus paid for us REVIVE our joy, love, hope, peace in the living relationship with the Eternal Father of the Universe WATCH for Jesus imminent return for His Bride WAIT patiently and joyfully on the bidding of God PRAY constantly with a believing heart for God's Perfect Will to be done here on earth as it is in heaven

What is Christmas

CHRISTMAS a special time of remembrance reflection renewal revival restoration. We remember the birth of the only begotten son of God, who is called Emanuel, God with us Counselor Mighty Father Prince of Peace. We reflect on the provision of God to restore His creation to Himself, the gift of salvation in the form of God as totally human and at the same time totally God. We renew our desire to become more like Jesus - our peace, hope, joy, love. We revive our love for the Lord God who pours His merciful grace into our souls, bodies, minds. We seek to restore our relationship with God in a living form that is eternal. Christmas is a celebration of our joyous acceptance of the awesome GIFT OF GOD - salvation in Jesus.

Fourth Sunday of Advent

The Fourth Week of Advent celebrates the gift of JOY.  Therefore we sing songs of joyous praise to the Mighty Triune God who loved us more than we can fathom.  In The Twelve Days of Christmas we sing of the history of Jesus and what all Christians believe about the amazing birth of Christ Jesus, Lord of all mankind.

Jesus, the Risen Lord

Jesus is the all powerful, risen Lord who has conquered sin and death.  Once you confess your belief in Him, He bestows the gift of Life on you and lives through you in the form of the Holy Spirit. Advent Week 3

The Third Week of Advent celebrates the pure eternal love of God  John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not die but have everlasting life.  For Jesus came not to condemn the world but to save it from sin. Give thanks and rejoice because you are especially loved by the Most High Triune God - Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

Peace

Mankind has sought peace since the beginning of recorded history, but because of the sinful nature of humans, peace continues to be an elusive dream.  The 20th Century began with the War to end all wars, and war became the norm for the entire world.  In 2020, war-hate-strife became the accepted way of life to the dismay of those who seek the peace of God.   The only way to have true lasting peace is through an acceptance of the REIGN of God in the hearts and lives of each individual.  As the Angels announced Two Thousand Years Ago at the birth of the One and Only Son of God in human flesh, "I bring you tidings of great joy; peace on earth, good will to men." In order for this God given peace to flourish, mankind must acknowledge that God is the ruler of the universe, who seeks to have a living relationship with His creation. This relationship produces peace of spirit which overflows into daily life.  Therefore, each day the child of God submits control of h...

Advent Week 2

This week we celebrate the PEACE of God who created heaven and earth and made man in HIS image. God PROVIDES all of the mental, physical, and mental needs of His children. God ENCOURAGES His children to seek a living relationship with Him. God ALLOWS His creation to know Him and to worship Him in peace and hope. God COVERS all of the children with His glory and power. God's ETERNAL merciful grace floods the lives of His people. May the PEACE OF GOD cover your life daily and flow on to the lives of  your family, friends, and community.

Rejoice

Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS Again I say rejoice. Rejoice in the Name of the Lord For He is good. His steadfast love endures forever. Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS Again I say rejoice.

Jesus - the SON OF GOD

In the Gospels we see Jesus as the Son of Man, but in Revelation we see Jesus, as the Risen Powerful Lord of the Universe, the one and only SON OF GOD. (Revelation 2, 3, 4) Jesus walks within and among His churches. He holds the stars (the souls of each believer) in His right hand. He is the LIGHT of the World. He is all  powerful and rescues each of us from our poor  choices. He knows all of our thoughts, actions, decisions and LOVES us despite our faults. He stands with us against evil and carries our burdens.  He never gives us a load too heavy to carry. He will return suddenly and swiftly - like a thief. He carries a double edged sword that cuts through the wrong and heals wounds. He creates constantly and provides for all of our needs. He is eternal. He is all knowing. He is all powerful. He is the Triune God - FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT. This totally awesome God desires a living, real relationship with each individual on the earth.  That is what we were cre...
