When Jesus returned home after preaching and teaching throughout Galilee, healing the sick and giving hope to the hopeless, the people of his home town could not see that He was the Son of God because they kept remembering Him as a baby, a child, a teenager.  Why do people not see the extraordinary in the ordinary life?  Sometimes expectations hinder the truth from blossoming in the human heart. Wait - quietly wait. Wait and pray. In stillness filled with the knowledge of God turn into the comfort of the Lord Jesus as a lamb seeking the safety of the Shepard. Wait - continue in the Word demand the best of your ability open your heart allowing the Master to guide your footsteps like the Sherpa who leads the hikers challenging the Himalayas. Wait - with assurance with hope with determination with endurance. Wait -  for guidance for knowledge for protection for mercy WAIT in the Hope of the promises of God in the security of God's mercy and grace in the love the Triune God gives to His creation. WAIT!

All relationships take work and determination.  Yet the easiest and at the same time most difficult is the personal relationship with the Mighty Triune God - God in Three Persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  To continue to grow in faith and relationship, the first step is to READ to Bible - the 66 Love Letters written over a period of 1500 years by at least forty human authors breathed by the Spirit of God.  Read Daily - a chapter, two chapters, a Psalm, a Proverb, or all of the parts.  READ DAILY. During the time of reading the WORD, ask God to open His word to your heart and show what is important to him.  Ask Him the hard questions that seem so simple. WHO? -who are you? who am I? who knows and understands my problems? WHAT? -what am I supposed to do? what is Your will for my life? WHEN? -when will I be used by God? when will I see my family? when will I get to go home to Heaven? WHERE? -where am I in the process of le...

Hamlet's uncle/stepfather prayed for protection, but he did not repent of the murder of his king and brother.  He knew that his prayers were unheard and unanswerable.  What do you owe to others?  An apology, help, money, return of something borrowed?  Go to that person and make arrangements to repay what is owed.  Offer true repentance and return what is owed.  Do not live with un-confessed sin in your life.  Be like David - "Create in me a clean heart."  Confess your sin, exactly. Turn away from the source of the sin.  (get out of the things that make you sin) Return to your first LOVE - the Lord Jesus and hang on tight to his powerful hand. Remember your name is carved in the palm of Jesus' hand and he will never let you go.  Repent and restore what is owed.  Then you will be able to rejoice in the presence of God.

As we seek a revival of the spirit of God in the United States, each one of us must PRAY daily  for God's leadership, control, and spiritual growing of our relationship with Him. We must pray for the growth of the local church, BUT we must support the local church with our prayers, presence, gifts, and service.  Attend church worship services and find a way to be a servant in the church.  Check the pews around you and tidy them after the service is over.  Work in the nursery or with the Sunday School classes.  Be on the clean up team or the kitchen crew.  Most of all pray that you will continue to grow in the grace of God through the daily reading of His word.  Read a chapter a day starting with your favorite book, read a Psalm, read Proverbs.  READ GOD'S LOVE LETTERS TO HIS CHILDREN. Study the word of God and apply it to your life daily. Put yourself on the path to God's blessing.

As we pray for revival, we must remember that each one of us needs God to wash our souls clean again.  So we must diligently pray and continue to seek God in all things.  Ask God to open your soul to His loving grace and mercy so that you may share His love with others.  Ask God to give you a soft heart that wants nothing more than to grow closer to him.  Do not stop after one prayer, one day, one week, month, year - pray constantly and with a broken heart for His guidance and love. Be like Jacob who wanted God's blessing on his life and would not give up until he gained his heart's desire - a real open relationship with the Mighty Triune God, Creator of Heaven and Earth.  Give all of your life to God, daily and follow His direction.  GIVE ME A CLEAN HEART O' GOD THAT I MIGHT SEE YOU CLEARLY.

Now is the time for all Christians to pray for a revival to sweep across the world, America, and the individual hearts of God's children.  In order to prepare for the powerful house cleaning by the Mighty Holy God, we must bring our needs, wants, and hopes to God trusting in His guidance and merciful grace.  Grace is a FREE GIFT OF GOD, not earned but given to those who trust in His Word.  The first step in working/praying for revival is to become dissatisfied with yourself - your personal attitudes, thoughts, and actions.  By comparing yourself to the Perfect Actions and words of Jesus, you realize how truly inept humans are.  Yet Jesus continues to reach across the gulf that divides humans from the Holy God and seeks to bring us into His Heart.  Become aware of the spiritual needs in your heart and seek Jesus to fill the void that seems to be darker than ever.  Dissatisfaction with  your spiritual growth can be combated by searching the...

As the song says, by staying focused on Jesus and His leadership the anxieties of this world become as nothing.  To stay focused on Jesus, the Mighty Son of God, read His WORD  and apply His message to your life. Application becomes difficult because of all of the distractions and demands of the culture and life in general.  When my youngest son was about four, we discussed attending church, which at the time we were struggling to find a home church that met all of our needs and wants.  I wanted the boys to love Jesus always and seemingly we could not find Him in our life.  I will never forget what the youngest said to me, "Don't worry.  God understands."  That simple statement of faith reminds me that Jesus is always in our lives.  All I need to do is keep my focus on Him and allow Him to guide me...

When questioned by the teachers of the Law, the Lord Jesus said that the most important commandment is to Love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, and soul.  The second most important commandment is to Love your neighbor as yourself. The question then becomes, "Who is my neighbor?" Is he the person who lives next to me? The child who sits in the corner all alone? The co-worker who never talks to anyone? How can I serve the Most High God who can speak all things into being? I cannot give Him anything that He cannot make more perfectly than human hands can make. I can do as He asks.  All I have to do is listen for His direction.  Read His Word.  Act upon His direction. Jesus said that He did not come to Earth to be served, but to serve.  So to serve God, I will find some one who needs my help, encouragement, knowledge, hope, peace, joy, love.  By serving other humans, I serve God.

Remember that the source of all your hope and strength is the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, the Savior of the World, the Anointed One, the Only Begotten Son of God. Depend on Him always for all things. Are a drug addict? Not hooked on some type of chemical I mean Were you drug by your parents to SCHOOL FAMILY GATHERINGS REUNIONS MEETINGS OF VARIOUS GROUPS FRIENDS' HOMES CHURCH? Now what about your children - grandchildren - are they learning the values of a GOD centered home?   Of all the values that can be taught, the most important is teaching who GOD is and how he yearns for a real personal individual relationship with each and every person in the world. You have a choice - to quote the KNIGHT in "The Last Crusade" - CHOOSE WISELY because your eternal destination depends on your choice. Choose Jesus NOW because time is fast running out.

Once I realized that I could not control my life without help, I surrendered everything to the leadership of God.  Still I tried to tell God how to run my life that He gave me.  Total surrender is easy to say but enormously difficult to do.  Surrender to the Holy will of God is a daily task.  So just start - Ask God to show you what you should do, THEN do it!  Again easier said than done.  But the more you daily ask for the direction of God, you will improve in attitude, actions, and ability. I surrender all All I surrender to the Lord Jesus. Be willing to give everything to God and let Him be in control of you.  Once you learn to surrender to God as a living sacrifice you will be amazed where He will take you. SURRENDER  to God daily.  Give Him control of your life.

Seek the Lord while He may be found. Search for Him with all of your heart. Depend on His guidance. Place all your hope in His promises. Enter His gates with thanksgiving His courts with praise Sing a new song to His Holy Name. "I lift my eyes unto the hills from whence comes my help. My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. Praise the Lord always for all things.

Pray for our nation.  Pray that God will continue to protect America from poor choices of our leaders and leaders from other nations.  Pray that all Christians will repent of their sins, return to their first love (JESUS), and will stand in the gap between God and His children.  Pray that the soldiers who are sent into harms way will be protected in special ways and will return to their families safe and whole.  Pray that the educators will teach the TRUTH of God and will not be afraid to be counted as a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Pray that Jesus will come soon and very soon.  pray, Pray, PRAY for the return of the people of God to Him.  Most Holy God mighty ruler of the universe, Please Lord Jesus guide your people as they seek your will in all that they do.  Lead them into the safety of your arms and protect them from all harm.  Open their hearts to you so that you will shine through their lives and pour your love through them....

JESUS - JESUS - JESUS Jesus said that he is the BREAD OF LIFE.  In religious circles people speak in symbols and double meanings.  Although these ideas seem to be buried under worldly meanings, ordinary people can find comfort and healing in the symbolic thoughts of Jesus by looking carefully at the thoughts behind the words. "I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE." I,  the individual, one, singular, no other,  AM, at this moment, now, unchanging, The, singular, without compare, BREAD, that which provides nutrients to sustain the body, OF, where and when, connects ideas LIFE, existence, survival, reason that creation was begun. PRAY that our nation will return to the values of God and repent of our sins which offend the Holy God. TAKE time to be holy, speak often with the Father God who wants to have a real relationship with His children - all of His children. LIVE so that others see the power of God and His merciful grace and love. PRAISE THE LORD always for all things because He leads us through the good and bad times. PRAISE THE LORD singing songs about His power and love. PRAISE YE THE LORD!!
